For The Utah Contractor Experior Testing Center During the licensure process, you mst pass the required exams prior to submission of your contractor application. It is a requirement that all applicants take the Utah Business and Law test. This is only waived if you hae passed the test previously. Some contractors believe that once they pass the tests, they have their license.
The printed test scores are only one small part of the multiple-part application. Computerized Testing Exams are administered using Experior's use-friendly, computerized testing system. Experior uses IBM compatible personal computers, similar t what you may have at home or in your business. You do not need computer experience to use this system. In fact, you will only need to use five keys on the keyboard to take the test. The other keys are disabled. There is no way you can harm the computer, the program, or the test by touching the wrong key. Exam Fees The exam and retake fees are: (subject to change) Utah Contractor Business and Law Exam $79.00 Fees include same-day score. Scoring of Your Exams The score report will show either PASS or FAIL and your percent. The minimum passing score is 70 percent. The score report will also give you information about the next step in the licensure process or information about retaking the exam. Seminars The no-pass no-pay seminars will help you pass your test the first time. They have a 99% pass rate spanning 10+ years. They are located in the Salt Lake Area at the Contractor License Center. We will schedule you for the seminars and for your tests. Alternative to Seminar/Class Instead of taking the classes to help you pass the tests, you can do self
study courses at home to prepare for your tests. We have found a great resource for you to buy your study
guides, sample testing software, required books, and calculators so you can pass your tests. Experior Location Experior Hours of Testing and Seminars Seminars are Monday - Friday (some Saturdays). They are from 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Expect to stay all day. Testing is scheduled roughly between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Mondays - Fridays. Experior will send you an admission letter to take with you on test day. Expect each test to take 4 hours maximum. Currently, Experior has a 3-week wait to get you into a test, so act now!
